The Excel EXL-1 Throwback from D'Angelico has been lovingly crafted to shape nothing but antique Jazz-style tone enveloped in semi-acoustic-style warmth. While this is only what you'd expect from a hollowbody guitar, the warmth of the Throwback comes with the mass of volume and presence provided by Throwback F-holes. The maple sides and back also supports a refined sustain, and the single cutaway offers comfortable access to all 20 frets, while a single Seymour Duncan Johnny Smith neck pickup gives all Jazz purists exactly what they want.
